Aug 18, 2019
The Leagues Cup Semifinal between Liga MX titans Club América and Tigres UANL on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at BBVA Stadium is officially sold out, stadium officials announced today. Fans with tickets are encouraged to arrive early to the stadium. The Leagues Cup semifinal will be broadcast live starting at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and TUDN.
All individual-game tickets and group ticket packages have been sold for the match, but a very limited number of premium options remain available.
The inaugural Leagues Cup featured four clubs from MLS and Liga MX each in an eight-team single-elimination tournament that launched in July. The second semifinal between the LA Galaxy of MLS and Cruz Azul of Liga MX will kick off at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. The winners of Tuesday’s semifinals will advance to the Leagues Cup Final, which will be held on Wednesday, September 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Club América and Tigres UANL are expected to announce their rosters on or before Monday, Aug. 19 prior to their clash at BBVA Stadium. Both clubs feature international stars such as Mexican forward Giovani Dos Santos (Club América) and French attacker André-Pierre Gignac (Tigres UANL). Both teams currently sit in a playoff position after winning three of their first four games to open the Apertura 2019 season.
Media credentials for the 2019 Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash regular season will not be accepted on Tuesday.
